Citizen Watch is killing it with their gorgeous full page watch ads. On Monday it was Eli Manning of the New York Giants. On Wednesday, it was an absolutely stunning ad of Kelly Clarkson, who has never looked more beautiful. The ad features three striking watches – the Citizen Circle of Time with 7 diamonds for $650, the Citizen Sunrise with 10 Diamonds for $795, and the Ladies World Chronograph with 38 Diamonds for $950.
Kelly Clarkson is one of four Citizen Watch ambassadors, along with Eli Manning, Matt Kenseth – Two-Time DAYTONA 500® Champion (2009, 2012), and Victoria Azarenka – Two-Time Australian Open® Tennis Champion.
If you look carefully at the glamorous ad, you will notice a turquoise and gold ring on the ring finger of Kelly Clarkson’s right hand. Clarkson, a huge fan of the English author, Jane Austen, purchased a ring belonging to Austen at Sotheby’s for $231,227. This was only one of three of Austen’s pieces of jewelry known to exist . The British government banned the ring for export, due to its historic importance. There was an export deadline, at which time Clarkson would have been allowed to remove the ring from the country, but an anonymous donor paid for the ring and now it is on display at the Jane Austen House Museum.
Her fiance, Brandon Blackstock (the son of Narvel Blackstock, Clarkson’s manager, who is married to Reba McEntire) had a replica of the ring made for her. She has worn this exquisite ring on many occasions, including the Grammy Awards, the inauguration of Barack Obama, and now it can be seen in this Citizen Watch ad.
Citizen has chosen as their watch ambassadors a selection of highly talented men and women. Kelly’s accomplishments are nothing short of amazing. It was in 2002 that Kelly Clarkson took the world by storm and won the very first American Idol. Her voice has been described by Rolling Stone as, “One of music’s most remarkable voices.” Simon Cowell, one of the judges on American Idol, said upon reflection of the other singers on the show, that Clarkson had the best voice, “by a mile.”
Kelly Clarkson has recorded 7 albums, has won 3 Grammy Awards, and over 80 of her songs have hit #1.
